After four years of thoughtful creation, The Inheritance Candle is finally here and ready to share with you. This candle is a heartfelt ode to that calm, yet wild, place called home. Hand-poured in small batches in Toronto, all of our candles are made with premium soy wax and cotton wicks. How to use— For the best performance, burn the candle for 3 hours at a time. Keep the wick trimmed regularly to approximately 5mm. Remove the bulb after burning and recenter the wick. For the first burn, the candle must liquefy the entire circumference— if not, your candle will start tunnelling. Candles must be placed only on heat-resistant surfaces. Do not burn the candle all the way down to the base; always leave 1cm of non-molten wax at the bottom. Never leave a burning candle unattended.

How to clean your vessel— Place the vessel in the freezer for 1–2 hours. The wax will shrink and become easier to remove. Use a butter knife or spoon to gently pry out the remaining wax. Dispose of the wax in the trash (never pour it down the sink). Fill the vessel with boiling water, leaving a bit of room at the top and let it sit for a few minutes. The heat will melt and lift any leftover wax to the surface. Once cooled, skim off the wax and discard it. Scrub the vessel with hot, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge. For stubborn residue, use a mixture of baking soda and vinegar or rubbing alcohol. Rinse the vessel multiple times with hot water to ensure all soap and residue are completely removed. To ensure the vessel is food-safe, sanitize it by soaking it in a solution of one part white vinegar to two parts water for 10 minutes, then rinse. Check for any lingering residue, chips, or cracks. Only use vessels in perfect condition for food or drinks. Your vessel is now clean and ready to be reused for food or drink.
